How to zip a local folder

In the desktop app, grant a folder, then ask AshnaAI to zip it. zipLocalFileOrFolder uses persisted grants so you are not asked to pick the same folder every time.

Before you start

Open AshnaAI and start a new chat.

How to zip folder

Follow the steps below in order. Confirm in chat before AshnaAI sends, posts, or writes to Tally.

Step 1. Install desktop

Download AshnaAI desktop and sign in.

Step 2. Grant the folder

Allow Downloads or the project folder once.

Step 3. Ask to zip

Ask: zip this folder to archive.zip in the same grant.

Keep in mind

This requires the desktop app. The browser cannot zip your disk.
